Super Storm, Super Bowl, Super PROM

Chris Hancock - Assistant Headmaster for Student Life
For the first time in 30 years, EHS was closed for classes on Tuesday.
For the first time in 30 years, EHS was closed for classes on Tuesday.  While we were fortunate not to have as devastating conditions as surrounding parts of the state, campus was certainly covered in a wintery mess.  Of course, this blizzard left a very happy bunch of students free to snowshoe throughout campus and build, as one student described it, “epic” snowboard jumps and sledding trails.  It also left time in their otherwise very busy days for the students on prom committee to finalize details for the 2015 Spring Prom.

This year, they have secured a private boat to host our Prom.  We will travel to Hartford, CT and cruise up and down the Connecticut River on the “Mystique” from 6-10pm on Saturday, May 16th.  There will be dinner, dancing and photos on the private charter and we will again host a Promenade on campus at 3pm before departing for the cruise. With views of the riverfront and a trip up and down the river, we hope it will be a one-of-a-kind prom experience.

With much fanfare, the prom committee announced it to the students at dinner earlier this week.  To sign your child up, parents must log on to the website and click the Prom link on your resource board.  You can follow the instructions to complete the registration, request hair & makeup appointments, order flowers etc….  The deadline to sign up is April 30, 2015. Any questions can be directed to chancock@eaglehill.school.

The only other deadline you need to be concerned about anytime soon is this Sunday, February 1st, 6:29pm (EST).  If you wish to get any foolish comments about how the Seahawks are going to win, you must do so before then.  After that time, we cannot refund your money for the shiny, new prom shoes you bought your daughter this weekend and mistakenly placed in your mouth. Go Pats!

Have a SUPER weekend,
Chris
